Darija+ started as an Android app for people who want to speak the Moroccan Arabic they hear every day — and to discover the Amazigh heritage behind it. The website brings the same lessons to any device, without an account.
Moroccan Darija is the everyday spoken language of Morocco. It borrows from Amazigh, French and Spanish, and it changes from city to city. Most courses start with Modern Standard Arabic, which is useful — but not what the taxi driver will say to you.
Darija+ takes the opposite approach. Every lesson starts with a situation you will actually meet: greeting someone, ordering mint tea, asking the price, finding the station. Each phrase is shown in Arabic script, in Latin spelling (how it sounds), and in English. Tap it to hear an approximation, then flip a flashcard until it sticks.
The Amazigh section follows the same idea. Standard Moroccan Amazigh is an official language of Morocco and is written in Neo-Tifinagh. You can learn the 31-letter alphabet, everyday vocabulary themes, numbers, days, months and pronouns — with Latin and Arabic alongside.

Flashcards, a saved-progress list and a ten-question quiz that mixes everything.
The AI tutor plays a scene, answers in Darija or Amazigh, and corrects you gently.
Darija+ is designed and developed by Youssef Elfahfouhi as an independent language-learning project. Questions, corrections and partnership ideas are always welcome.
